MARSHFIELD — Faith Fire is hosting a benefit concert for the Frederic Ozanam Transitional Shelter on April 29 at 7 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Marshfield. Faith Fire is the contemporary praise band at Faith Lutheran Church.

This is the fourth annual benefit concert that the band has hosted, bringing together music, community, and support for charitable organizations. The concert is free and open to everyone.

From volunteermarshfield.org, the mission of the Frederic Ozanam Transitional Shelter is “to provide emergency transitional housing for homeless families, … to move families from homelessness to self-sufficiency by reducing their dependence on public assistance, improving their living skills, and securing permanent housing.”

In addition to providing housing to couples or families with children, the Frederic Ozanam Transitional Shelter helps them with education, finding employment, saving money, health care, and other basic needs.

At the concert Faith Fire and the Voices of Praise Choir will perform current Christian rock songs. At the end of the concert, the audience will be invited to share in a freewill offering.

In addition to the concert, the Frederic Ozanam Transitional Shelter will host a silent auction starting at 6:15 p.m. All proceeds from the silent auction and freewill offering will be used to help families at the transitional shelter.
