Stratford girls third, boys fourth at Tomahawk Indoor Track Invite

EAU CLAIRE – The Stratford girls placed third and the boys took fourth at the Tomahawk Indoor Track Invitational on Friday at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

The Tigers had three boys and two girls with runner-up finishes to lead the way.

Cade Lehman was second in the 1,600 (4:56.85), Kyle Giebel took second in the 800 (2:13.19), and John Geissinger was second in the pole vault (11 feet, 6 inches) for the Stratford boys, who finished fourth with 61.5 points.

Johnelle Miner took second in the 1,600 (6:04.32) and Makayla Krall was second in the long jump (15-3½) for the Stratford girls, who ended up third with 77 points.

Keyarra Dahl had a pair of third-place finishes for the Stratford girls in the 200 (29.96 seconds) and the high jump (4-8). Emily Hauke took third in the 55 (8.11), Brianna LaSee was third in the long jump (15-2) and the 1,600 relay team also took third (4:43.81) for the Tigers.

The Stratford boys had a third-place finish from Damon Weix in the 55 hurdles (9.95).

Black River Falls won both team titles.
