Marshfield softball drops doubleheader at Ottawa, Ill.

OTTAWA, Ill. – The Marshfield softball team dropped a nonconference doubleheader to Ottawa Township (Ill.) on Saturday, losing 9-4 and 6-1.

Megan Donahue had a single, a double, and two RBIs, and Emily Draeger added a single, a triple and scored twice for the Tigers in Game 1.

Donahue suffered the loss on the mound, giving up nine runs (seven earned) in 5 2/3 innings.

Jenna Jakobi also had two hits for Marshfield.

Marshfield was held to just four hits in Game 2. Konrardy had the only RBI for the Tigers, knocking in Donahue with a single.

Konrardy allowed five runs in three innings to suffer the loss.

Marshfield is scheduled to host Wausau West in its home and Wisconsin Valley Conference opener on Tuesday, weather permitting.
