MARSHFIELD — The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Marshfield and surrounding areas. The warning says that snow will start to fall in the late morning and early afternoon on Wednesday and continue through the night and into Thursday morning.
There is an expected snowfall of 10-14 inches, with the heaviest period of snow coming in the late afternoon Wednesday and Wednesday evening. Winds of up to 30-35 mph are possible, as are power outages “due to heavy wet snow and gusty northeast winds.”
“The combination of snow and strong winds will make travel very difficult. If you must travel, keep a flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest Wisconsin road conditions can be obtained by calling 511,” the warning said.
