Woman arrested for two felony warrants
During a traffic stop near the intersection of Doege Street and Spruce Avenue at 11:19 p.m., officers arrested a 29-year-old Marshfield woman on two Marshfield felony warrants. Due to being uncooperative, the woman was transported to Wood County Jail and turned over to staff.
Thursday, March 10
Eighteen-year-old with multiple warrants jailed
Police took an 18-year-old Marshfield woman into custody for Wood County and Marshfield warrants following a traffic stop on the 800 block of S. Drake Ave. She was transported to the Marshfield Police Department, booked, and then taken to Wood County Jail after she was unable to post the $1,000 bond.
Friday, March 11
Gas drive-off from Central Avenue station
Police received a report at 12:17 p.m. that a vehicle left a gas station on the 1300 block of S. Central Ave. after pumping $16.93 worth of fuel but did not pay for it. By obtaining license plate information, police found the listed owners to be from Algoma, but there was no contact number.
A Marshfield officer requested through dispatch that local authorities attempt to make contact. Follow-up will continue.
Marshfield woman breaks Chicago woman’s phone
A Chicago woman reported at 3:30 p.m. that there had been a disturbance involving her and a 22-year-old Marshfield woman, during which the Marshfield woman broke the Chicago woman’s cellphone. Police contacted the Marshfield woman, and she admitted to breaking the phone.
The Chicago woman was not specific if she wanted to press charges and changed her mind multiple times as she was leaving to go back to Illinois. Police will contact her later to get a receipt for the value of the phone.
Pittsville man arrested for heroin possession, OWI
Police arrested a 20-year-old Pittsville man for possession of heroin and operating while under the influence (OWI), second offense, following investigation of him being not readily responsive behind the wheel of his parked and running vehicle for an hour on the 300 block of S. Peach Ave. He was booked, submitted to a blood draw for the OWI, and was then taken to Wood County Jail for a probation hold and the aforementioned offenses.
Saturday, March 12
Man violates probation by consuming alcohol
Police took a 21-year-old man into custody on the 400 block of N. Central Ave. for a probation hold as he was found to have consumed alcohol. The man was booked and later transported to Wood County Jail.
Auburndale man arrested for Taylor, Marathon County warrants
Police arrested a 19-year-old Auburndale man for valid Taylor and Marathon County warrants after a traffic top near the intersection of Oak Avenue and Western Street. The Taylor County warrant was body only, and the Marathon County warrant had a $500 bond.
The man was brought to the Marshfield Police Department for booking procedures. A Marathon County deputy transported the man to Marathon County Jail.
Monday, March 14
Twenty-one-year-old taken into custody
Police took a 21-year-old Marshfield man into custody on the 1100 block of N. Central Ave. for a valid Marshfield warrant. He was taken to the Marshfield Police Department and booked, and then he was transported to Wood County Jail.
Tuesday, March 15
Man creates disturbance, resists arrest
At 6:18 p.m. police arrested a 50-year-old Marshfield man for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest on the 500 block of S. Central Ave. The man had created a disturbance after being medically cleared by a Marshfield ambulance crew.
He was transported to the Marshfield Police Department for booking and was later taken to Wood County Jail. Charges will be sought through the Wood County district attorney’s office.

Clark County man with multiple warrants arrested
Police arrested a 62-year-old Clark County man on the 2000 block of N. Central Ave. for valid Department of Corrections and Portage County warrants. He was transported to Abbotsford and turned over to a Taylor County deputy.
