Auburndale boys basketball bests Neillsville

AUBURNDALE – Christian Firnstahl scored 12 points and Dylan Peplinski added 11 to lead the Auburndale boys basketball team to a 59-48 nonconference win over Neillsville on Saturday afternoon at Auburndale High School.
Auburndale (7-12) trailed 27-26 at halftime but pulled away in the second half by holding Neillsville to just seven made baskets.
Peplinski had seven points and Firnstahl six in the second half for the Apaches.
Michael Dux led Neillsville (10-9) with 21 points.
Auburndale plays at Abbotsford on Monday.
