Spencer boys basketball pummels Colby

Lenz tops Rockets (14-6) with 22 points

COLBY — The Spencer boys basketball team shot 52 percent and held Colby to 31 percent on its way to an 87-44 victory in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Friday night at Colby High School.

The Rockets charged out to a 43-24 halftime lead and put 44 more on Colby in the second half.

Calvin Lenz had 22 points, seven rebounds, and four assists; Noah Zastrow added 17 points; and Jack Bezlyk had 13 points and nine rebounds for the Rockets (14-6, 10-5 Cloverbelt East).

Bobby Pilz had 12 points and three assists, and Ryan Busse added 12 points and a team-high 11 rebounds for Spencer.

The Rockets finish their Cloverbelt East schedule Monday at conference champion Columbus Catholic. The game will be broadcast on WOSQ-FM 92.3 and wdlbwosq.com.
