Columbus Catholic girls basketball edges McDonell
Abby Baierl scores 17 points for Dons (10-12)

CHIPPEWA FALLS — Abby Baierl finished with 17 points to lift the Columbus Catholic girls basketball team to a 49-46 win over Chippewa Falls McDonell in the sixth-place game of the Cloverbelt East-West Crossovers on Thursday at McDonell High School.
Kendra Baierl had 11 rebounds, and Marissa Immerfall had seven points and nine rebounds for the Dons (10-12).
Columbus hosts Pittsville in a WIAA Division 5 regional quarterfinal on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
