MARSHFIELD — Vice President of Clinical Services Vanessa Freitag and Director of Patient Care Services at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital Brenda Fellenz will lace up their running shoes to benefit the Ministry Saint Joseph’s Children’s Hospital by participating in the Children’s Miracle Network Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend.

The Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals organization is the presenting sponsor and celebratory charity of the Disney Princess Half Marathon, a 13.1-mile run through Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and Epcot that takes place Feb. 18-21.

“This is the first race I will be running for charity, and I am excited that all funds from this great cause will come back to our community in support of our programs and services,” said Fellenz.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds and awareness for 170 children’s hospitals in the U.S. and Canada, including Ministry Saint Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, which, in turn, uses the money where it is needed the most. All donations stay local to fund pediatric medical equipment and support programs, critical treatments, and child life services.

“We are so excited to have Vanessa and Brenda participate in this wonderful event to support our organization,” said Iilee Pederson, Children’s Miracle Network Program Coordinator.

To donate on behalf of Freitag or Fellenz, contact the Children’s Miracle Network office at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital at 715-387-9965.
