AUBURNDALE — Caleb Weinfurter hit six 3-pointers and scored a game-high 22 points to help the Auburndale boys basketball team to a 61-37 rout of Nekoosa in a nonconference matchup Tuesday night at Auburndale High School.

Dylan Peplinski added 11 points for the Apaches, who are now 6-11 this season. Nekoosa drops to 3-17.

Weinfurter drained three 3-pointers, and the Apaches made six free throws to take a 34-20 lead at halftime. Auburndale put the game away with six 3-pointers in the second half.

Auburndale plays at Wausau Newman Catholic in its Marawood Conference South Division finale on Thursday.
