Tigers now 10-7 after road win

By Paul Lecker

Sports Reporter

EAU CLAIRE — Marshfield built a 15-point lead by halftime and held off a late rally to beat Eau Claire Memorial 52-47 in a nonconference boys basketball game Tuesday night at Memorial High School.

Alec Hinson made all eight of his free throw attempts and finished with 13 points for Marshfield. Grant Michaelis added 11 points, and Adam Fravert had 10 points and nine rebounds for the Tigers, who are now 10-7 this season.

Marshfield led 37-22 at halftime but only scored 15 points in the second half as Memorial (12-5) creeped closer but could not erase the deficit.

Trevor Schwecke pulled down nine rebounds, including five on the offensive end, for Marshfield.

Reece Meier had 18 points and nine rebounds for the Old Abes.

The Tigers host D.C. Everest on Friday.
