MARSHFIELD — The Personal Development Center Inc. (PDC) is announcing its 12th annual “Sheltering Hearts” fundraising event will be held Thursday, Feb. 11, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at RiverEdge Golf Course.
This event will support domestic violence services and preventative programming in greater Marshfield and Clark County. The mission of PDC is to assist those in distress by identifying options and resources, promoting safety, building hope, and strengthening individuals, families, and our community through case management, advocacy, and education.
Sheltering Hearts committee member Kristina Howey, who has volunteered at the event for the last five years and served on the committee the last two, said, “This truly is an evening you do not want to miss. PDC is miraculous in their work and has been pivotal in the community as they help families live peacefully.”
Tickets are $45 per person, and reserved tables of 8 are $240. There will be over 40 silent auction items, including concert tickets, pottery, wine, jewelry, and more. Some of the big-ticket live auction items will be Scotch and cigars, trees from Schalow’s Nursery, a weekend getaway, a golf package, pizza for a year, and even a hunting trip for the avid outdoorsmen.
