Retraction: Community square poll was invalid

It is with regret that we tell our readership that Hub City Times’ poll gauging public opinion on the proposed community square for downtown Marshfield produced invalid results.
There was a loophole in the poll in which people could vote numerous times — even though the intention was to allow one vote per person or per computer. Some individuals were voting potentially hundreds of times for their preference, thus biasing the poll and invalidating the results. Fortunately, we did not include the faulty polling data in any article.
That previous poll should be regarded as null and void. We have fixed the loophole, and readers may now vote in a rebooted version of the poll.
We sincerely apologize for our oversight.
