Wisconsin Rapids shuts out Marshfield boys hockey

Tigers fall to 0-9 in WVC

MARSHFIELD — Logan Conkey scored twice to lift Wisconsin Rapids past Marshfield 5-0 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys hockey game Thursday night at the Marshfield Youth Ice Arena.

Conkey scored twice in the first period to put the Red Raiders out in front early. Casey Hayek, Jared Sawyer, and Isaac Gilbert added goals for Rapids (14-6, 7-2 Wisconsin Valley Conference).

Haydon Roy-Peterson had 31 saves in goal for Marshfield (4-14-1, 0-9 Wisconsin Valley Conference).

Rapids held the Tigers to just four shots on goal, all of which were saved by goaltender Tyler Werne.

Marshfield’s next game is Feb. 4 at Merrill.
