Stratford girls basketball rolls past Athens

Frueh, Schillinger each score 11 in first half for Tigers

ATHENS — Macie Frueh scored 11 of her team-high 19 points in the first half as Stratford took control early and blasted Athens 73-36 in a nonconference girls basketball game Monday night at Athens High School.

Savannah Schillinger added 18 points, 11 coming in the first half, as Stratford rolled out to a 38-17 lead at the break.

Chelsey Gliniecki scored all 10 of her points in the second half for Stratford (12-4).

Stratford is at Greenwood in another nonconference game on Thursday.
