Spencer boys basketball tops Abbotsford for fourth-straight win

Rockets improve to 10-4

SPENCER — Spencer shot 50 percent from the field and had four players in double figures on its way to a 58-45 victory over Abbotsford in a nonconference boys basketball game Monday night at Spencer High School.

Bobby Pilz scored 15 points, Jack Bezlyk added 14 points and 13 rebounds, Ryan Busse had 13 points, and Calvin Lenz added 10 for the Rockets, who won for the fourth time in a row and improve to 10-4.

Spencer also made 16 of 23 free throws, all coming from the four players that scored in double figures.

Treven Gorst scored 19 points to Abbotsford (4-8).

Spencer hosts Owen-Withee on Thursday.
