STRATFORD – Taylor Gotz had 19 points and nine rebounds, and Paiton Richardson had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Auburndale girls basketball team to a 45-43 victory over Stratford in a Marawood Conference South Division game Friday night at Stratford High School.

Richardson made 8 of 12 free throws for the Apaches (11-2, 6-2 Marawood South), and Gotz scored 15 of her points after halftime.

The Apaches’ win completes a regular-season sweep of Stratford (11-4, 5-4 Marawood South).

Macie Frueh hit three 3-pointers and scored 11 of her team-high 16 points in the second half for Stratford.

Stratford is at Athens on Monday, and Auburndale’s next game is Tuesday at home against Iola-Scandinavia.
