GREENWOOD — For the second time in three days, the Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls basketball team defeated Greenwood.

Marissa Immerfall scored 15 points and hauled down nine rebounds, and Abby Baierl had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds as the Dons beat Greenwood 55-39 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Thursday night at Greenwood High School.

The Dons, who defeated Greenwood at home on Tuesday 51-45, even their record at 7-7 overall and improve to 4-5 in the Cloverbelt East after the victory. Greenwood is now 2-11 and 1-9 in the conference.

Columbus shot just 33 percent (17 of 51), but Immerfall and Baierl were a solid 10 of 20.

The Dons were able to push past Greenwood due to a 37-19 rebounding advantage and by making 17 of 24 free throws. The Indians were only 3-for-7 at the line.

Ashley Walker led Greenwood with 12 points.

Columbus Catholic’s next game is Tuesday at first-place Loyal.
