Auburndale girls basketball surges past Spencer
Apaches improve to 10-2 with home win

AUBURNDALE — Paiton Richardson scored 17 points, and Allison Linzmeier added 11 as the Auburndale girls basketball team beat Spencer 54-31 in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Auburndale High School.
Richardson was 6 of 10 from the field, and Linzmeier made 6 of 7 free throws for the Apaches (10-2).
Auburndale outscored Spencer 25-9 in the second half to pull away for the 23-point win.
Sydney Kind had 14 points for Spencer (6-6).
Auburndale’s next game is Friday at Stratford. Spencer is off until Jan. 26 when it hosts Granton.
