Megan Smith wins bars for Marshfield gymnastics in loss to Antigo

Emma Haugen second in all-around for Tigers

ANTIGO — Megan Smith won the bars and took second in the vault for Marshfield in a 129.5-124 loss to Antigo in a Great Northern Conference gymnastics dual meet on Tuesday at Antigo High School.

Smith scored 8.1 on the bars and 8.725 in the vault.

Emma Haugen placed third on the balance beam (7.775) and second in the all-around (31.4) for the Tigers. Isabelle Jensen also took third in the vault (8.6) for Marshfield.

The Marshfield JV squad won all four events and Ally Bakke took the all-around title.

Marshfield’s next meet is Jan. 30 when it travels to Antigo again for the Red Robin Invitational.
