WESTON — Marshfield was held to 12 points in the first half and had its three-game winning streak snuffed out as D.C. Everest won 36-33 in a defensive Wisconsin Valley Conference boys basketball game Tuesday night at D.C. Everest High School.

Each team shot 33 percent from the field and struggled from the free throw line as Marshfield was 5 of 10 and Everest just 6 of 11.

Adam Fravert led Marshfield (6-5, 1-3 Wisconsin Valley Conference) with 12 points and 10 rebounds and was 6 of 14 shooting. The rest of the Tigers combined to make only 7 of 25 from the field.

Jake Gebert had 12 points and nine rebounds for D.C. Everest (6-4, 2-2 WVC).

The Tigers host Wausau East on Friday. The game will be broadcast on WDLB-AM 1450 and wdlbwosq.com.
