For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Clinic Center for Community Outreach and Psychiatry & Behavioral Health will be hosting a community wellness series. The first part in the series addresses Stress Management and Resilience Training (SMART) concepts and will be held at the Marshfield Clinic Froehlke Auditorium, Laird Building for Medical Research, on Jan. 11 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Consider what causes stress in your life: a constant feeling of imbalance between demands and the ability to meet those demands, lack of meaning, lack of control, etc. SMART is a structured program developed by Amit Sood. This presentation will explore SMART basics and the application of these practical and fun skills to deal with the stresses of our daily lives, both personal and professional.
Community President of BMO Harris Bank Marshfield Alan Nystrom will be the facilitator, and guest speakers will include Dr. Edward Krall, psychiatrist & assistant medical director at Marshfield Clinic, and R.N. Mindy Gribble, the survivorship program coordinator at Marshfield Clinic.
Dinner and child care will be provided at no cost. To register, contact Nikki Podevels by emailing [email protected] or calling 715-221-8416. Provide first and last names of participants and names and ages of children if requesting child care.
