Spencer boys basketball uses big second half to topple Colby
Rockets pour in 48 points in second half of home win

SPENCER — Bobby Pilz scored a season-high 29 points to lift the Spencer boys basketball team to a 68-58 victory over Colby in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Friday night at Spencer High School.
Pilz led the charge for the Rockets, who scored 48 second-half points to break open a game that was tied 20-20 at halftime. The senior guard was 9 of 18 from the field and 10 of 11 at the free throw line.
Jack Bezlyk added 16 points for Spencer (5-3, 4-2 Cloverbelt East), which forced 23 turnovers and made 24 of 30 free throws in the win.
Eric Jorgenson led Colby (3-7, 3-4 Cloverbelt East) with 19 points.
Spencer’s next game is Thursday at home against undefeated Marshfield Columbus Catholic.
