Forfeits lift Edgar past Auburndale wrestling

Weister, Wolfe earn pins for Apaches

AUBURNDALE — Edgar and Auburndale split the six matches wrestled, but the Wildcats were able to win the meet by the aid of five forfeits 45-22 in a Marawood Conference wrestling dual Thursday at Auburndale High School.

Trayton Weister (120 pounds) and Keller Wolfe (170) won by pin, and Dylan Altmann earned a major decision at 145 for Auburndale’s three victories. Kaleb Bolder also won by forfeit for the Apaches.

Both teams are now 1-1 in the Marawood.

Auburndale will compete at the D.C. Everest Invitational on Saturday.

145: Dylan Altmann (AUB) won major dec. over Brock Handrick 10-0.
152: Dawson Lammer (ED) won by forfeit.
160: Will Raatz (ED) won by fofeit.
170: Keller Wolfe (AUB) pinned Cade Littleton in 5:00.
182: Bryce Imhoff (ED) pinned Samuel Hasenohrl in 1:33.
195: Alex Lemanski (ED) won by forfeit.
220: Kade Schraufengel (ED) won by forfeit.
285: Kaleb Bolder (AUB) won by forfeit.
