Stratford wrestling dominates Edgar

Tigers win six matches by pin, now 3-0 in Marawood

STRATFORD — Stratford won all but one match, including six by pin and four by forfeit, to rout Edgar 70-3 in a Marawood Conference wrestling dual on Tuesday night at Stratford High School.

The Tigers are now 3-0 in the Marawood.

Jake Drexler (113 pounds), A.J. Schoenfuss (120), Jeremy Schoenherr (126), Sam Wenzel (145), Dylan Schoenherr (170), and Kyle Giebel (195) all won by pin for Stratford.

Jordan Becker won by major decision at 138 pounds for the Tigers.

Stratford is at Athens on Thursday.

113: Jake Drexler (S) pinned Jakob Lipinski in 2:46.

126: Jeremy Schoenherr (S) pinned Ty Guden in 1:49.
132: Derek Marten (S) won by forfeit.
138: Jordan Becker (S) won by major decision over Colton Heil 11-3.
145: Sam Wenzel (S) pinned Brock Handrick in 0:31.
152: Mason Kauffman (S) won by forfeit.
160: David Marquardt (S) def. Will Raatz 7-3.
170: Dylan Schoenherr (S) pinned Cade Littleton in 5:01.
182: Kam Bornbach (S) def. Alex Lemanski 7-2.
195: Kyle Giebel (S) pinned Ryan McKibben in 2:50.
220: Reece Heidmann (ED) def. Jon Aguirre 8-6.
285: Tyson Kauffman (S) won by forfeit.
