Two candidates running for district seven alderman

By Adam Hocking

Editor

MARSHFIELD — Mayor Chris Meyer will have no competition in his bid for a fifth term, and the same holds true for aldermen Mike Feirer (district one), Chris Jockheck (three), Ed Wagner (five), and Tom Buttke (nine).

Two newcomers — Ed Korlesky and Jason Zaleski — face off for the district seven common council seat as the incumbent, Gary Cummings, will not run.

Two other individuals took out nomination papers for common council but did not file them prior to Tuesday’s deadline and thus are not candidates.

There will be no primary in the mayoral election or any of the council races. The spring election will be held Tuesday, April 5.
