STRATFORD — Stratford committed almost as many turnovers as it had shot attempts and suffered a 29-17 loss to Edgar in a low-scoring nonconference boys basketball game Monday night at Stratford High School.
Stratford was playing without top-scorer Derrick Schmidt and committed 19 turnovers while making just five of 22 shots from the field.
The Tigers (6-4) were outscored 19-9 in the second half as Edgar (7-2) pulled away. The win is Edgar’s sixth in a row.
Ethan Nagel had six points, both coming on 3-pointers, for Stratford.
Stratford plays at Pittsville on Friday.
