Featured MAPS pet of the week marshfield area shelter adoption rabbit marni
Marni is available for adoption.

By Janet Gilbert

MAPS Adoption Coordinator

Marni is a female mixed breed bunny that was found as a stray in Marshfield. She is sweet and calm, and she does not seem to mind hanging out with cats. After her seven-day stray hold, she has been spayed and is looking for her new home.

Sadly, many people do not understand that a domestic rabbit faces a grim future when turned outside to live on its own. Marni and all domestic rabbits need to be protected from the outdoors as they are defenseless prey. She will need to be an indoor pet.

Her adoption fee is $40, and she wants her new guardian to know that she loves fresh vegetables.

If interested in adopting, please visit the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter website at www.MarshfieldPetShelter.org and complete an adoption application, or call 715-486-5140 for more information. You can also visit adoptable pets at our Microchip & Adoption Center located at Marshfield Mall from 4:30-6 p.m. Monday–Friday and Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. View all adoptable pets at www.MarshfieldPetShelter.org/adopt.
