Loyal routs Spencer girls basketball in battle for first place in Cloverbelt East
Rockets held to four made baskets in loss

LOYAL — Loyal completely shut down Spencer’s offense, holding the Rockets to just four field goals in a 52-17 victory in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Friday night at Loyal High School.
Sydney Kind made two of Spencer’s baskets and had a team-high six points.
The Rockets made just 4 of 38 shots from the field and were 7 of 15 on free throws in the loss as they fall to 3-2 overall and 3-1 in the Cloverbelt East.
Karsyn Rueth had 16 points for Loyal (5-1, 4-0 Cloverbelt East), which takes over sole possession of first place in the conference with the victory.
Spencer’s next game is Thursday at Gilman.
