MARSHFIELD — Director of Public Works and United Way campaign drive chair Dan Knoeck underwent a makeover fueled by philanthropy on Monday. Knoeck said that if city employees increased their donations to United Way by 10 percent over last year, he would shave his face and dye his hair jet black.
Marshfield Area United Way Marketing & Campaign Coordinator Ashley Winch said that not only did the city staff increase their giving by 10 percent, but they upped it by 43 percent. Winch said city employees have donated $15,159.50 to this year’s United Way campaign.
The overall fundraising goal for Marshfield Area United Way this year is $835,000, and Winch said the campaign is about 64 percent of the way to that total.
