MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Police Department recently issued a statement via its Facebook page that a sex offender will be released and will reside in Marshfield.

William W. Pavlekovich, 50, will be released on Nov. 17 and will live at 204 W. 14th St. He has served his court-imposed sentence and is not wanted by law enforcement at this time.

The statement from the department said, “This notification is not intended to increase fear. Rather, it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.”

Pavlekovich “has been convicted of first degree sexual assault of a child (2000), fourth degree sexual assault (2005), second degree sexual assault of a child (2012), and exposing a child to harmful materials (2012),” according to the statement. “His victims were a 12-year-old male (2000), an adult male (2005), and a 14-year-old male (2012), all of whom were known to him.”

Pavlekovich is also required to register for life as a sex offender with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registration Program and will be supervised by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

For questions regarding Pavlekovich’s release, the Marshfield Police Department can be reached at 715-384-3113.
