Elks present MAPS with significant donation

For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD — On Oct. 31 Marshfield Elks Lodge 665 presented a check in the amount of $1,590 to Marshfield Area Pet Shelter (MAPS). The donation was the result of a fish boil and raffle fundraiser that took place on Oct. 19. Each raffle winner who won a cash prize chose to donate their winnings back to MAPS.
The donation will help support MAPS’ mission to enrich the lives of animals in need and improve the relationship between people and pets. The organization pledges that every adoptable animal will be given the opportunity to find a loving home regardless of space, age, or time limitations.
MAPS has a temporary home at 210 W. 29th St. in the former airport terminal building and continues to raise funds for a permanent facility at 3500 Downwind Drive. MAPS welcomes volunteers and donations and reminds everyone to have their pets spayed or neutered and microchipped. Visit www.MarshfieldPetShelter.org for more information.
