MARSHFIELD — First grader Crosby Widmann rode to Lincoln Elementary in style Friday. His grandmother Cindy Pryer won a fire truck ride courtesy of the McMillan Fire Department at McMillan’s Fall Festival and knew exactly who would love it most.
“We go every year,” Pryer said of the fall festival, where she won the ride via auction. “I picked Crosby because … I just knew it’d be the right one for him.”
It was good timing for Crosby to get a pick-me-up considering he had to have four teeth pulled on Thursday.
Firefighters Pat Weigel and Dave Swenson arrived in a fire truck around 7 a.m. Friday morning, came into the Widmann’s house for some pictures, and then whisked Crosby off to school. Below are some photos from the morning.
