Bone Shakin’ Bash to benefit Chestnut Center
For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD — Calendars have been flipped to October, and it is time to dust the cobwebs off your imagination and put your dancing shoes on for Chestnut Center for the Arts’ Bone Shakin’ Bash.
The costume dance party for adults will be held on Friday, Oct. 30, 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Members of the MST Thomas House Band — Joe G., Rob Hailey, and others — will provide rock ‘n’ roll music to loosen and jump-start your “creaky” bones.
The evening’s festivities will include a cash bar and food; prizes for best costumes, both individuals and groups; and, of course, the surprises involved in identifying fellow revelers.
Bone Shakin’ Bash is a fun-filled evening to benefit a good cause, the Chestnut Avenue Center for the Arts. For 12 years now, the center’s board of directors, along with a host of additional volunteers, has worked to create a lively space where the greater Marshfield community can enjoy all forms of the arts. Proceeds from Bone Shakin’ Bash will provide continued support to the facility, its programming, and performances.
Costumes are recommended but not required.
Advance ticket prices are $18 per person or $15 per person for groups of six or more. At the door the price is $20. To order advance tickets, available through Oct. 29, call Chestnut Center at 715-389-8999 or e-mail [email protected]. The Chestnut Center is located in downtown Marshfield at the corner of Third Street and Chestnut Avenue.
