Cadott rallies to beat Columbus Catholic volleyball in Cloverbelt crossover
Dons win first two games but cannot hold off Hornets

CADOTT — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team could not hold on after taking a 2-0 lead and dropped a 3-2 decision to Cadott in the fourth-place game of the Cloverbelt Conference East-West crossovers on Tuesday night at Cadott High School.
Columbus won the first two games 25-23, 26-24 before the Hornets rallied to win the final three games 25-20, 25-21, 15-7.
Kendra Baierl had 28 kills, Celine Scholin added 16 kills, Abby Baierl had 21 digs, and Jennifer Regiel had 44 assists to lead the Dons.
Columbus Catholic will open WIAA postseason action next week on either Oct. 20 or Oct. 22. Pairings will be announced in the coming days.
