Columbus Catholic volleyball wins Loyal Invitational
Dons finish with 3-1 record

LOYAL — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team lost its first match but came back with three-straight victories to win the Loyal Invitational on Saturday at Loyal High School.
The Dons lost to Colby 18-25, 25-20, 15-8 before reeling off wins over Lincoln 25-10, 25-11; Neillsville 25-22, 25-23; and Loyal/Granton 23-25, 25-19, 15-13.
Kendra Baierl had 42 kills, Celine Scholin added 27 kills, Sierra Litwaitis had 43 digs, and Jennifer Reigel had 79 assists to lead the Dons.
“We started the day slow but then picked it up and started playing together as a team,” Columbus Catholic coach Kat Egle said. “The girls worked hard to win the title today.”
Columbus Catholic will play at Cadott in the fourth-place game of the Cloverbelt Conference crossovers on Tuesday.
