ONALASKA – Onalaska ended Marshfield’s five-game win streak with a 2-0 shutout of the Tigers in a nonconference boys soccer game Saturday afternoon at Rider’s Club Road Soccer Field.

Mitchell Schaller scored on a penalty kick 1:48 into the game and Nick Havireck added another goal midway through the second half to lift Onalaska (11-1-2) to the win.

“We gave them and early PK and fought hard to get it back,” Marshfield coach Steve McCann said. “We had them on their heels for a long time in the first half with seven corner kicks over a short time, but hit the crossbar early and had a couple of shots go wide.”

Mathias Holm had 12 saves in goal for Marshfield (6-5-2).

The Tigers host Stevens Point at 4 p.m. Thursday at Griese Park.
