Clark County Humane Society’s Walk & Wag Fest taking place Sunday
For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD — The Clark County Humane Society (CCHS) Walk & Wag Fest 2015 will be held at Weber’s Nature Park in Marshfield on Sunday, Sept. 27, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Weber’s Nature Park is located at 2901 W. Fifth St. in Marshfield.
Walk through the park, enjoy some snacks, play some games, and take a chance on raffle prizes. Come any time to register and stay for any or all of the event. You may walk as little or as far as you wish, and you may walk with or without a pet.
Walk & Wag Fest will include CCHS’ 12th annual Dog Walk. CCHS encourages participants to collect pledges to support CCHS’ mission. Turn in pledges at the dog walk registration table, and then enjoy a walk through the trails at Weber’s Nature Park. All participants with pledges of $25 or more will get an event T-shirt. A registration form and pledge sheets are available at CCHS, CC Resale, Paws & Claws Adoption Center in the Marshfield Mall, and on the shelter’s website at cchs-petshelter.org.
There will also be games for adults, children, and dogs. Refreshments will be available. For a chance at raffle prizes, tickets cost $1 each, or get six for $5. Because the park has a shelter with picnic tables, Walk & Wag Fest will be held rain or shine.
The event is presented by Clark County Humane Society and Marshfield Vet Service. For further information call 715-743-4550 or visit the CCHS website.
