WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Mid-State Technical College is hosting a Wisconsin Education Fair for all individuals, regardless of age, who want to attend college. The event will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, in the Wisconsin Rapids Campus gymnasium (E Building, 500 32nd St. N).

Nearly 85 representatives from universities, colleges, technical and vocational colleges, trade schools, and the military will be in attendance. The informal format presents attendees with the freedom to move around the gymnasium to review higher education options and spend time with individual representatives from the institutions of most interest. No formal presentations will be held. Financial aid personnel will also be available to discuss student financial assistance.

This is an excellent opportunity for high school students and parents, as well as individuals of any age seeking to enhance their careers, to obtain academic program and campus information from a variety of institutions in a short period of time. While many area high school students will have the opportunity to attend with their school, individual participation is also encouraged. There is no admission fee to attend, and the fair is open to the public.

Participants can register in advance at gotocollegefairs.com. Early registration provides participants with a barcode that can be scanned at the table of any institution of interest in lieu of filling out interest cards.

For more information about the Wisconsin Education Fair at Mid-State Technical College, call Laurie Inda at 715-422-5430. A Wisconsin Rapids campus map is available at mstc.edu/about/locations.
