Jensen finishes fourth for Marshfield at fourth leg of Clover Valley girls golf tournament

Tigers take fourth in team standings, three shots out of second

MOSINEE — Ana Jensen shot a 47 to place fourth and help the Marshfield girls golf team to a fourth-place finish at the fourth leg of the Clover Valley Golf League Tournament on Tuesday at Indianhead Golf Course. The meet was hosted by D.C. Everest.

Stevens Point won the team title with a 185, 22 shots ahead of Eau Claire Regis and 23 in front of Stanley-Boyd. Marshfield was two strokes behind the Orioles, taking fourth with a 210.

Mary McDonald of Stevens Point won meet medalist honors with a 41, three shots ahead of Regis’ Julia Szepieniec.

Jordyn Fitzgerald ended up tied for seventh with a 49, Patty Bloczynski added a 54, and Roma Shah had a 60 to round out the scoring for Marshfield.

The fifth leg of the seven-meet tournament is Thursday at Eau Claire Country Club, hosted by Regis.
