Auburndale volleyball cruises past Pittsville in Marawood South opener

Taylor Gotz leads Apaches with 11 kills

PITTSVILLE — The Auburndale volleyball team rolled to a win in its Marawood Conference South Division opener on Tuesday, sweeping Pittsville 3-0 at Pittsville High School.

The Apaches won in dominating fashion, 25-19, 25-12, 25-11.

Sydney Schmutzer had 29 assists, Taylor Gotz had 11 kills, Robyn Brokish added 10, and Brooke Anderson had eight digs for the Apaches.

Auburndale has a nonconference match Thursday at Abbotsford.
