MARSHFIELD — As summer turns to autumn, Security Health Plan wants to prevent seasonal illnesses with flu shots, screenings, and health education.

“Fall In for Flu Shots and Good Health” is a series of health events being held in locations around Wisconsin this fall. The events are open to all, not only Security Health Plan members.

Here is what is being offered:

—Flu shots administered by Marshfield Clinic: Bring an insurance card. There is no charge to Advocare members. A vaccine count is needed prior to the event. Call 1-877-703-4839 to register.

—Medication education: Learn about your medications and address concerns with a pharmacist. Bring prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements in their original containers. Call 1-877-703-4839 to reserve an appointment time. Stop by to pick up a free travel pillbox.

—Prevention is the best medicine: Free blood pressure checks, learn when to get preventive screenings, and get help finding a provider.

—Free wellness services: Talk to a health educator to learn about the benefits of health coaching.
