MARSHFIELD — Registration is now available for the four-day Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training (SAPST) that will take place in Marshfield at the Holiday Inn & Conference Center from Sept. 22-25.

SAPST is designed for individuals to receive 31 of the 40 hours needed to apply as a prevention specialist in training, to learn more about substance abuse prevention practices, and the implementation of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s Strategic Prevention Framework. The four-day event will be facilitated by Danielle Luther of Marshfield Clinic Center for Community Outreach and Kathy Asper of Arbor Place Inc.

The training, materials, breakfast, and lunch are being provided free of charge. Lodging is not provided. If you need lodging, you are responsible for booking that at the Holiday Inn under the group block “SAPST Training” by Sept. 1.

This training is limited to the first 20 individuals who should register no later than Sept. 7. Complete the registration form linked here, and email it to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services’ Raina Zwadzich at [email protected]
