Phase 1: Maple Avenue from Veterans Parkway to Fourth Street and Third Street from Maple Avenue to Central Avenue

By Tom Turchi

Marshfield City Engineer

MARSHFIELD — All of the underground work is complete. The electrical contractor has now begun to pull wire and is working to reinstall the signal pole for Maple Avenue at Veterans Parkway.

Trierweiler Construction has completed placement of all of the curb and gutter, driving lanes, and parking lanes. Half of the colored crosswalks have been installed. The sidewalk crew is continuing to place the sidewalk on the project. They anticipate that the sidewalk will be completed by Friday, July 24. Joint sealing will begin on Monday, July 20.

Following this work, Earth Inc. will begin asphalt pavement tie-ins, terrace restoration, sign installation, pavement marking, and clean up of this phase of the project.

On Friday, July 31, at 11 a.m. at the corner of Veterans Parkway and South Maple Avenue, there will be a groundbreaking ceremony for the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library & Community Center. The public is welcome to attend.

Work in the intersection of Fourth Street and Maple Avenue is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 27.
