Marshfield Chaparrals defeat Plover Pterodactyls
Ryan Metz throws eight strong innings to earn win for Chaps (8-4)

MARSHFIELD — Lucious Messerschmidt had three hits and two RBIs to help the Marshfield Chaparrals to a 9-3 win over the Plover Pterodactyls in amateur baseball action Wednesday at Jack Hackman Field.
Ryan Metz struck out two, walked three, and allowed two earned runs in eight innings to earn the win for the Chaparrals (8-4 overall, 6-1 Dairyland League).
Aaron Schwecke and Alex Steines each had a single and a double to help the Chaps, who had 11 hits in all.
Marshfield’s next game is Thursday night at Tomahawk.
