Summer offerings from Marshfield Parks & Recreation
MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Parks & Recreation Department is accepting registration for a number of summer activities:
—Fall soccer for children grades kindergarten-six will be held Sundays from Aug. 16 – Oct. 4 (no games Sept. 6) at Griese Park. The registration fee increases after July 9, and the deadline to register is July 17.
—Gymnastics for ages 3.5 and up, July 20-30 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
—Skateboard lessons for ages 8 and up will be held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from July 27 – Aug. 5 at the Marshfield Skatepark. Beginner class runs from 8:15-9:05 a.m., and Advanced Beginners goes from 9:15-10:05 a.m.
—Summer trip to Madison on Wednesday, Aug. 19: We will visit the Henry Vilas Zoo, and then you choose your next stop, either Olbrich Gardens or the Madison Children’s Museum. A coach bus will depart from Marshfield at 7:30 a.m. and return at 8 p.m.
—Summer Fun Runs will be held on Wednesdays, July 8 – Aug. 12 starting at 7 p.m. at S.J. Miller Shelter. This is a free program. No registration is required.
—Hefko Pool is open for the season. The pool is open daily from 1-6:45 p.m. daily with Tuesday and Thursday hours extended till 7:45 p.m. Daily admission fees apply. Free swim is held Monday-Saturday from 11-11:45 am. Season pool passes are available for purchase in the parks and recreation office Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
