Marshfield Chaparrals drop home game to Everest

Chaps return to action July 8

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Chaparrals dropped a non-league game to the Everest Merchants 7-3 on Wednesday in amateur baseball action at Jack Hackman Field.
Drew Spaeth suffered the loss for Marshfield, giving up three earned runs and 10 hits with three strikeouts.
Sam Schwanebeck and Ryan Metz each had doubles for the Chaparrals.
John Nielsen picked up the win for Everest, striking out nine. Nick Blume had four hits, and Mason Hagenbrusher had three for the Merchants.
Marshfield’s next game is July 8 at home against Plover.
