The following is a press release from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office
Clark County authorities are investigating a motorcycle versus vehicle crash that took the life of the motorcycle driver. On June 16, 2015, at about 11:49 a.m., the Clark County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of an accident at the intersection of State Highway 95 and State Highway 73 in the township of Pine Valley.
Initial investigation indicates that a motorcycle driven by Mitchell V. Kacer, 63 years old, was traveling west on State Highway 73 and stopped for the stop sign at the intersection at State Highway 95. Kacer failed to yield to a northbound vehicle and proceeded into the intersection. The vehicle traveling north was being driven by David Rawson, 66 years old. Kacer was transported to the Saint Joseph’s Hospital by the Spirit Air helicopter, where he succumbed to his injuries. The hospital staff pronounced his death later that evening at about 11:51 p.m.
Rawson received nonincapacitating/nonlife threatening injuries and was taken to the Neillsville Hospital.
Kacer is from Spencer, and Rawson is from Neillsville.
The Neillsville Area Fire and Ambulance Service, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, and the Saint Joseph’s Spirit Air helicopter responded to the scene.
