Upcoming events at Wildwood Park & Zoo
—Wildwood Zoo kicks off Wild Wednesdays throughout the summer at Wildwood Station, 1800 S. Roddis Ave., starting Wednesday, June 17. Come and learn about reptiles and amphibians when the UWSP Herpetology Society gives presentations at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
This program is being sponsored by BMO Harris Bank and the Wildwood Zoological Society. A concession stand will be open during the event. Admission is free, but donations are always welcome. —On Father’s Day weekend there will be tons of fun for the whole family at Wildwood Zoo. Zoofest will be held on Saturday, June 20, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. There will be a petting zoo, face painting, hay rides, bounce houses, food, games, and much more. Cost of admission is $5 per family.
—Enjoy a night of sleeping under the stars with the Wildwood Zoo animals. Explore the zoo on a guided tour, cook food over a campfire, watch a movie at dusk, and more. Camping with the Critters will be held on July 18 with check-in starting at 4 p.m. The cost for an individual (all ages) camper is $15 per zoo society member and $20 per nonmember, or pay $20 per zoo society member and $25 per nonmember to include one child. The deadline to register for Camping with the Critters is July 10. To rent a tent or receive a free T-shirt with your registration, the deadline is June 19.
