MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield girls soccer team ended a three-game losing streak in the Wisconsin Valley Conference with a 4-0 win over Merrill on Thursday at Griese Park.

The Tigers (6-12-1, 3-7 WVC) have shut out their opponent in each of their six victories this season.

Olivia Haessly and Maddie Haessly scored goals in the first half, and Kendra Tremelling had a pair of goals in the second half for Marshfield.

“I liked the way we connected passes on our goals, as evidence with the four assists on the four goals,” Marshfield coach Steve Lindner said. “I would like to see more of this versus just passing, but overall it was a nice win with some positive results.”

Andrea Carolfi saved all four shots in goal for the Tigers.

Marshfield plays at D.C. Everest on Tuesday night.
